Wirehaired Pointing Griffon is a medium-sized all purpose gundog that originated in The Netherlands in the 19th century. It is also known as Korthals Griffon, taking its name from the breed founder, Eduard Karel Korthals. Wirehaired Pointing Griffons are intelligent, outgoing, and loving dogs that are willing to please. These are people oriented dogs that prefer to be somewhere in the vicinity of their masters. Wirehaired Pointing griffons are well-known for their harsh and spiky coat that gives them a natural messy appearance. This breed is relatively rare in the United Kingdom, USA, and Canada despite its long recognition by their respective national kennel clubs as well as Federation Cynologique Internationale(FCI).
Bouvier des Flandres ( Bouvier for short) is a large-sized herding dog breed from Flandres, Belgium and northern hills of France. They were originally developed as all purpose farm dogs for cart pulling, sheep herding, cattle droving, and watchdogs. As of now, a Bouvier dog is used as a companion dog, police dog, and guard dog. Biewer Terrier( pronounced beaver) is a tri-colored toy terrier breed that originated in Germany in 1984. It is popular for its a long-haired, soft-silky, and parti-colored coat with a feathered tail that curls over its back. The first puppy of this breed originated from a litter of Yorkshire Terrier that produced a black, white, and tan puppy from the breeding program of Mr. and Mrs. Biewer in Germany. However, the breed is yet to be recognized in its native country.
Affenpinscher is a Monkey-like toy sized Pinscher dog breed from Germany. The name of the breed has been derived from the German name Affe( meaning monkey or ape). Although Affenpinschers are not classified as Terriers they were meant to work like one. They were used to do away with rats and other pests in German stables of the 1600s. Affenpinschers have a wiry fur and hence often considered hypoallergenic. Although, female Affenpinschers are more susceptible to seasonal flank alopecia especially during winter. Therefore, they tend to shed a bit of hair.
