Affenpinscher is a Monkey-like toy sized Pinscher dog breed from Germany. The name of the breed has been derived from the German name Affe( meaning monkey or ape). Although Affenpinschers are not classified as Terriers they were meant to work like one. They were used to do away with rats and other pests in German stables of the 1600s. Affenpinschers have a wiry fur and hence often considered hypoallergenic. Although, female Affenpinschers are more susceptible to seasonal flank alopecia especially during winter. Therefore, they tend to shed a bit of hair.
Tibetan Terrier is a small-to medium-sized non-sporting dog breed from Tibet. Contrary to its name, these are not Terriers. The name "Tibetan Terrier" is a misnomer. It was given to the breed by European explorers due to their resemblance to known terrier breeds. Tibetan Terriers are also related to and have contributed to the development of other breeds including Lhasa Apso, Shih Tzu, Polish Lowland Sheepdog, and Tibetan Spaniel.
Wire Fox Terrier is a sturdy and short backed terrier dog type from England. It is one of the two types of Fox Terriers along with Smooth Fox Terrier. Initially, they were shown as one breed with two coat variations. However, this changed after AKC listed the two as separate breeds in 1985. Although, in its native Country, Smooth and Wire Fox Terriers have been recognized as separate breeds since the late 19th century.
Westie ( officially known as West Highland White Terrier) is a small-sized sturdy terrier from Scotland. It was originally bred for hunting small rodents in places like farms. Westies have a distinctive white double coat which fills out the dog's face, giving it a rounded appearance. Therefore, a teddy bear cut would look good on them. Although, some Westies have light wheaten coat color variations. The youngsters of this breed usually have pink markings on the footpads and nose which slowly turn black as they mature.
Beauceron is a large-sized distinct herding breed from France. It is also known as Bas Rouge (red-stockings) or Berger de Beauce (sheepdog from Beauce). They are noted as one of the breed used as foundation stock for Doberman Pinscher. This breed was used in World War I and II as a supply transport dog, rescue dog, messenger dog, police dog, and land mine detection dog.
Alaskan Husky is a medium-sized working sled dog created for performance more than appearance. It is a product of careful selection for desirable sled dog characteristics such as speed, endurance, aptitude for pulling, tolerance of extreme weather, appetite, and intelligence from various other breeds. As of now, Alaskan Huskies are neither recognized by any kennel club nor have a formal breed standard.
Caucasian Shepherd ( officially known as Caucasian Shepherd Dog ) is a large-sized livestock guardian dog bred from the Caucasus region, notably, Armkenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Russian republics Dagestan and North Ossetia. Other names for the Caucasian Shepherds include Caucasian Sheepdog, Caucasian Ovcharka, Caucasian Mountain Dog, and Kavkazskaïa Ovtcharka. These are kind, soft, devoted, and endearing dogs to their families including family pets. However, when threat is present, Caucasian Shepherds are fearless, bold, fierce, and self-confident. Originally, they were used to guard livestock against large and small predators such as coyotes and wolves as well as protect properties from trespassers. Currently, they are used as watchdogs and companion pets. Typically, a Caucasian Shepherd is devoted to its family and wary of strangers
The Alaskan Klee Kai ( or simply Klee Kai) is a small-sized companion dog that was developed in the United States in the late 20th century. The Klee Kai were bred in three size varieties that may have a height of 13 to 17 inches ( approx. 33 to 43 cm ) and a weight of 5 to 22 pounds (approx. 2.3 to 10.0 kg ) depending on whether the dog is a toy, miniature, or Standard. This is a vocal breed that expresses itself in sometimes amusing and strange noises of howling, purring, yodeling, grumbling, and chirping. Klee Kai are intelligent, curious, agile, energetic, and yet reserved with unfamiliar people and situations.
American Bully ( nicknamed Am Bully or Bully) is a medium to large sized breed with a blocky head and a muscular body. It was developed in the United States. The American Bully was recognized as a breed by the ABKC ( American Bully Kennel Club) in 2004. These dogs give the impression of great strength for their size. The American Bullies should have the appearance of heavy structure with a bulky build and look. This breed makes excellent family companion if bred and raised well. This is because it exhibits a zest for life, confidence, and an ebullient willingness to please and bond with the family. Although this breed possess a powerful and fierce appearance, its demeanor is gentle.
The American Bulldog is a large-sized muscular breed of mastiff-type from the United States. They are used as catch dogs, stock dogs, and guardians on ranches and farms. The most muscular parts of the American Bulldog are the chest and shoulders. The muscular build comes as a plus since the breed is able to jump vertically in excess of three feet ( approx. 91 cm ). Most American Bulldogs have brown colored eyes. Although, some may have differed colored eyes(heterochromia) which is considered a cosmetic fault.
