Weimaraner is a large-sized dog breed originally from Weimar, Germany that was bred for hunting in the early 1800. They are popular for their distinctive silvery-gray coat and their unusual blue-gray or amber colored eyes. Weimaraners are well-rounded hunting dogs and human-orientated making them great partners for novice hunters. This is a dependent breed that loves to be with their owner, following them everywhere. Although, this can create severe separation anxiety that may lead to destruction of property or injury while trying to escape.
Belgian Malinois (simply referred to as Malinois or Mal) is a medium-sized herding breed from Belgium. It has a short dense fawn-mahogany coat with a black mask. Malinois is one of the closely related Belgian Shepherds or Belgian Sheepdogs that is recognized as a separate breed by AKC. Other Belgian Sheepdogs are Groenendael (black long-haired dog), Tervuren (long-haired fawn-mahogany dog), and Laekenois (rough haired fawn coated dog). However, these dogs are recognized as one breed by the United Kennel Club. Malinois were initially bred as herding dogs. Currently, they are used as companion dogs, police dogs, guard dogs, search and rescue dogs, guide dogs, detection dogs, and assistance dogs.
Bichon Frise ( also known as Bichon Tenerife) is a small dog breed of the Bichon Type. It makes a great pet for novice owners and city dwellers. Even though Bichons are small-sized dogs, they have been categorized under the non-sporting group by the AKC. A Bichon Frise is regarded hypoallergenic since it doesn't readily shed and thus considered suitable for people suffering from dog allergies. Siberian Husky( also nicknamed Husky or Sibe) is a working sled dog breed of medium size that is smaller and similar looking to Alaskan Malamute. A Husky belongs to the Spitz genetic family. However, the word Husky is also a general term for a dog used in the polar regions specifically as sled dog. Originally, this pooch was bred for sled pulling and companionship. Currently, a Husky is kept as a house pet , although they are also frequently used as sled dogs by recreational and competitive mushers.
Pug is a brachycephalic dog originally from China. It is categorized under the toy group by AKC. Pugs are known for their distinctive features of a curled tail and a wrinkled short-muzzled face. Majority of these dogs are fond of children and are sturdy enough to properly play with them. Pugs have a tendency of being sensitive and intuitive to the moods of they owners.
