Westiepoo also known as Westiedoodle or the Wee-Poo is a small medium size dog breed formed by crossbreeding a Poodle and a West Highland White Terrier. The wee-Poo breed is bred mainly with a miniature or Toy poodle. They are intelligent dog breeds that are quick to learn a character attained from their crossbreeds. The first crossbreeding of Westiepoos originated in the United States in the 1970s. They were bred after the Cockapoo which was in the 1960s. The Westiepoo parents have a long history as poodles originated in Germany in the Middle Ages. The West Highland White Terrier also known as Westie descended from several breeds in Scotland before the 20th century. After the crossbreeding was done, Westiepoos emerged with hypoallergenic properties and low hair loss. This made them suitable for people with allergies.

Westiepoo Grooming
Wee-Poos have a curl, medium, or wiry coat that requires regular brushing two to three times a week. This is mostly done as they may become matted by the use of a specified brush. Westiepoos are prone to ear infections, to avoid infections, ensure their ears are cleaned with a damp cotton ball soaked in an ear cleanser to remove dirt and wax.
