Peekapoos inherit their bred parents’ hair and have a coarse texture and the undercoat is softer from the Pekingese parent or curly hair from a Poodle. In case a Peekapoo inherits the Pekingese’s coat it is advisable to use a brush with a wide tooth to avoid hair loss. To keep their coat thick, healthy, and glossy, the parents may clip their hair every six to eight weeks. Also, the parents may trim around their ears, eyebrows, feet, and whiskers. Some of the haircuts that a Peekapoo can have include:
Puppy Cut – The hair is cut to half an inch or one inch paying much attention to the fur on the head and tail. Puppy Cut is managed at home once brushing is done using shaving scissors.
