Bullmastiffs are often confused for Mastiff and vice versa since they both have a black mask, same coat colors, V-shaped ears, large heads, short coat and muzzles as well as long tapered tails. However, Mastiffs are nearly rectangular in body appearance while Bullmastiffs are nearly square in body appearance.
