Miniature Schnauzer ( also known as Mini Schnauzer) is the smallest breed of the Schnauzer type that originated in Germany in the mid to late 1800. Other Schnauzer breeds include Standard Schnauzer and Giant Schnauzer. Of the three types, a Miniature Schnauzer is the most popular breed due to its small size and temperament. These dogs are regarded as non-shedding dogs which is not entirely true. They shed at minimal levels. However, the shed hair is trapped by the wiry outer coat. For this reason, they are considered hypoallergenic. In North America, Mini Schnauzer is categorized in the Terrier Group due its ratting background. Although, it doesn't share common ancestry with Terriers from Great Britain. When compared to Terriers, Mini Schnauzers have a more laid back personality and less aggressive to other dogs.

American Eskimo( also known as American Eskimo Dog or Eskies) is a small to medium sized companion dog of the Nordic type. It is known for its sparkling white or white with biscuit cream coat with a lion-like mane around the shoulders and chest. American Eskimos come in three varieties based on size; standard, miniature, and toy. These dogs share common resemblance with German Spitz, Samoyeds, Japanese Spitz, Volpino Italiano, Indian Spitz, and Danish Spitz.

Samoyed is a medium-sized herding dog from Siberia. It is known for its often white double coat, fluffy tail, and the 'Sammy Smile'. This is also a vocal breed that tends to bark whenever something approaches its territory making an excellent watchdog. However, it has a friendly disposition which makes it a poor guard dog. This made the FCI to change the breed's standard in 2018 to Kangal Shepherd Dog. AKC recognizes Kangal and Anatolian Shepherds as the same breed. Some Turkish breeders describe Anatolian Shepherds as mixed dog breeds of all Turkish livestock guardian dogs. The UK Kennel Club has recognized Kangal as a separate breed since July 2012. However, it also stated that dogs registered under Anatolian Shepherds may be eligible if they are recognized under the name Turkish Kangal dogs instead.

Due to their strong tracking instinct, Bloodhounds can be somewhat difficult and willful to obedience training and leash handling. Although, they are excellent family pets since they are affectionate and even-tempered towards humans. Bloodhounds also have long and large jowls hence they are colossal droolers.

Bullmastiff is a mastiff type of dog originally from the United Kingdom bred as a guard dog by crossing the now extinct Bulldog with the English Mastiff. They rarely bark since they were developed as silent watchdogs. Bullmastiffs are often confused for Mastiff and vice versa since they both have a black mask, same coat colors, V-shaped ears, large heads, short coat and muzzles as well as long tapered tails. However, Mastiffs are nearly rectangular in body appearance while Bullmastiffs are nearly square in body appearance. Moreso, a Mastiff is less agile, slower, and more laid back as compared to the Bullmastiff. Although, Bullmastiffs and Mastiffs are droolers, the latter drools more due to longer and larger flews.
