Mastiff also known as English Mastiff or Old English Mastiff is a British dog known for its enormous size, black mask, massive head, and drooling. Despite of the large size, Mastiffs are known for their docile, loving, and gentle nature. This breed is not a good choice for families with feeble senior citizens or young children. Mastiffs may easily knock over an unsteady adult or a child.
St. Bernard ( full name: Saint Bernard) is a large-sized working dog breed from Western Alps in Italy and Switzerland. It is a gentle giant that was bred by the hospice of the Great St. Bernard Pass for rescue work. The dog became famous through the tales of Alpine rescues. St. Bernards have two coat varieties, smooth and rough coat. Despite of the gentle temperament, this breed must be well socialized with other dogs and people in order to prevent fearfulness and any possible territoriality or aggression.
Jack Russell Terrier is a small terrier type of dog bred in England for fox hunting. They have three coat varieties; smooth, rough, or broken coats that can come in any color. It is also nicknamed Jack or Jack Russell. This dog should always appear alert and balanced since it is primarily a working dog. It should not have a large chest that inhibits the dog from entering and working in burrows. The traditional quarry of a Jack Russell is a red fox. This dog must be small enough to pursue a red fox.

Alaskan Malamute is a large sized arctic breed originally from Alaska. They were bred for their endurance and strength to haul heavy loads as a sled dog and hound. Currently, they are still used as sled dogs for moving light objects, hauling freight, or for personal travel. Although, some Alaskan Malamutes are used for recreational pursuit of sledding also known as canicross, bikejoring, mushing, skijoring, and carting.
Labradoodle is a designer dog created by crossing a Labrador Retriever(Lab) with a Poodle. They have three different sizes; Standard, Medium, and Miniature which is determined by the size of the Poodle parent either Standard, Miniature, or Toy-sized. The term 'Labradoodle' first appeared in 1955 but became popular in 1989 after they were bred as guide and service dogs by Wally Conron of the Royal Guide Dogs Association of Australia.
Goldendoodle(nicknamed Doodle in USA) is a designer dog deliberately developed in the 90s in Australia and United States by crossing Golden Retrievers with Poodle. They have three different size varieties: Large, Medium, and Miniature depending on the size of the Poodle parent( Standard, Miniature, and Toy-sized). Goldendoodles benefit from hybrid vigour especially lower susceptibility to diseases and enhanced health. Since they are crossbreeds and not pedigrees, they are not recognized by Kennel clubs including UKC and AKC.
Pomeranian( also known as Pom Dog, Zwergspitz, Deutscher Spitz, or Dwarf Spit) is a Spitz toy dog breed originally from Pomerania region in North East Germany and North West Poland in Central Europe. They were created from German Spitz. The breed was popularized by Queen Victoria who is credited for decreasing the original size of the breed with 50%. Pomeranians make excellent bark dogs since they are alert, have loud barks, and are aware of the changes in their environment.
